Recently, I’ve had this song on my heart. It’s actually one of my favorite hymns and wanted to share it with you – Enjoy!! MY JESUS, I LOVE THEE My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine; For thee all the follies of sin I resign. My gracious Redeemer, my Saviour art thou; [...]
Leadership Flows From Within

Here’s a question: When a leader goes on vacation, do they stop leading? I would say no. Sure they are not (or should not) be going full-steam ahead, but I think a true leader just leads naturally. It’s not something they work up or force, it’s almost as natural as breathing or eating. Why is [...]

Last night I got to hang out with a missions team from King’s River Worship Center that’s in this week to work at Ambridge Christian Center, one of our church plants. Now this isn’t your normal missions team – it’s made up entirely of 4th & 5th graders. Yeah, pretty cool! So last night I [...]
Confidence As a Leader

I have read a number of writings explaining how many leaders lack vision. I would definitely agree, but I believe a secondary hindrance to growing an organization is not necessarily a lack of vision but a lack of confidence in the vision. Something I’ve learned is that I will be most passionate and assertive with [...]
The Iceberg of Ministry

Growing up as a pastor’s kid and now being a pastor myself, something I’ve learned about ministry is the crucial importance of maintaining a healthy, growing relationship with the One we proclaim. Here’s a few thoughts on this: Like an iceberg, our spiritual lives (what is between us and God) should always outweigh our public [...]
