One of the coolest things about working with a number of different church plants is getting a front row seat to watch God at work. I have experienced more ‘God-Moments’ and divine appointments in the last few months than I have experienced in a long time. It’s incredible to see how God will have people cross paths specifically to reach the lost in a community. Or how God arranges resources at just the right moment. We serve such a great God!! If you’re a pastor and wondering when God’s going to start moving? Or when will God provide? Just know, God is working behind the scenes. When the time is just right, He will provide you with exactly what you need!
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise…” 2 Peter 3:8-9a
I am finishing up a book call Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets. In it he describes a time where God works His miracles. That time is called kairos time. Pastor Jeff went and explained kairos time in weeks past.
The thing to remember here is that God does things in His own time. I know I grow impatient waiting for those times. But, when they happen, it’s well worth the wait.
I have had 3, that I can count, divine appointments in just coming back to APC.
It’s the waiting that gets to me. But, those who wait upon the Lord. I believe the waiting builds strength and character. And when the time comes…
Be blessed today

Nick, I’m not in the pastorate, but your blog reminded me today that even though I can’t see why I am doing the things I am doing, (finishing my Bachelor’s after more than 20 years), and even though I can’t see what’s going to happen when that is done and even though I have an idea about the near future…God is in control and He knows and nothing surprises Him. (How’s that for a run on sentence?) I am so excited to see what God is going to do in my life, my marriage and my future. And you know what? I am excited to see what He is going to do in your future.
God’s speed,
Lily

Thanks Lily! I really appreciate that!! It can be tough to trust God at times, but He always pulls through! (And that was one huge run-on sentence!)
