Well, one year ago this weekend I started at Allison Park Church. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go to one of my former student’s graduation party and it reminded me of how blessed I am! God has been so to me throughout my life. I loved seeing my students and am so proud to see them going off to college and into ministry. In the same respect, I love going to our different network churches and seeing them reach their communities for Christ. I am so humbled that God would choose me to be a part of this great mission of snatching the lost from the flames of destruction.
If you’re in ministry and today you’re wondering ‘where is my joy’ in the midst of this great mission? I would challenge you to do this:
- Look at the blessings God has placed on your life and begin to thank Him for the positive rather then complaining about the negative. Complaining doesn’t accomplish anything except making the negative more obvious!
- Bring your focus back to the mission. We’re here to love God and love people. That takes on different forms – but that’s our ultimate goal as ministers and followers of Christ.
Nick… It has been a great year serving with you. Though you are young in years, you are producing great results for the Kingdom right now. I am honored and delighted to serve with you.
