As Christians we should always be striving to see the power of God portrayed in our lives. It’s a fascinating concept, though, if you think about it. To see an almighty God work through finite beings such as us. How humbling that truly is, but the question I’ve pondered is, ‘Why don’t more people have the power of God in their lives?’ My answer to that question is because most people are not willing to step out in the power of God. Let me explain.
A number of years ago Michael W. Smith (yeah, I know he’s kind of old) wrote a song in which he said, “Love isn’t love until you give it away.” Although it’s an older song, the idea is very biblical. You can’t say you are full of love if you never show love. The act of doing so not only confirms but also implants love in our lives.
I believe the same can be said for the power of God. How can we expect God to fill us with His power if we are not putting the power of God into action?
