This has been a pretty busy week, so I thought I’d just share a number of exciting, and some more random, things that have taken place:
- This past Easter Sunday our church plants hit an exciting attendance mark. For the first time, the total attendance at all our church plants surpassed the Easter attendance at Allison Park Church back in 1996 before any of the church plants were started. APC has now more then doubled it’s impact…praise God!! (In case you’re wondering the total attendance at the church plants this Easter was 1301…that’s 100 people per year since we started planting)
- This week I went to a Pirates’ game, which helped me complete the Pittsburgh Sports Cycle. I’ve lived in the Pittsburgh area for most of my life, but this is the first time I have been able to attend a Steelers’ game, a Penguin’s game, and a Pirates’ game all within a 6 month period. (The first two games were much more exciting then the last one!)
- This Sunday our new church plant, Element Church, holds their first monthly service. If you’re in the area, check it out! The service is at 10:30am at Mr. Small’s Theater in Millvale (get directions here). Also, keep Pastor Rich and his team in your prayers as they work hard this week preparing for the service!
- I’m looking for one more youth intern for this summer at APC. If you’re interested or know someone that is, shoot me an email: nickp@allisonparkchurch.com
